Synopsis In the waning days of the Kosovo conflict, two American doctors travel to Macedonia to offer their services to Albanian refugees. Into the chaos of the medical camp, a mysterious boy arrives, forcing the doctors to re-examine their actions and the personal ethics that guide them.

What's often wonderful about reading good plays is that in a short read you get engaged in a good story. Read Man Measures Man in one sitting because it was that good. It took me to Kosovo, a place I hadn't thought about visiting, but after arrival, I stayed because the tale of the doctors was immediately compelling. We wonder about what brought these men, clearly good friends (with issues, and who doesn't have those), to this remote place to practice medicine. Although the story is serious, the dialogue is authentic and funny at times as we hear the banter (sometimes biting) of good friends. Then Agim, the mystery boy appears and we know he is not as he seems but you sense a good story is coming and it doesn't disappoint. Of course, it's a war zone and that's depicted vividly as well. The female characters appear in fewer scenes but have equal importance to the men and their roles are vital to the story. All in all, I recommend it highly.Product details
