Ariels’s latest book of individual housecleaning stories was a humorous and heartwarming read. I didn’t expect much about a topic I didn’t think would be interesting but when I finally got around to reading it, I was more than pleasantly surprised. In fact, I laughed out loud. Some of them were better written than others but all of them felt honest, thoughtful, and from the heart…and isn’t that what we always want from stories?

Having had a love-hate relationship with neatness, at times pursuing the goal of neatness while at other times abandoning it to the tyranny of the urgent, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Housekeeping. Great advice, lots of laughs, and many take-away practicals. Thanks for yet another great book!
Who doesn't have a very personal relationship with this subject? Whether you will do anything to avoid cleaning the house, or cannot do anything in chaos or mess, we can all relate to this timeless task. Ariel has assembled a collection of wonderfully amusing as well as poignant articles under a cover that portarys a darling, perfectly kempt cottage. Get ready for hours of enjoyable reading.

I enjoyed the short stories that were written by different people and their feelings on housekeeping....and how it was shaped in each of their lives.
